Memory is a subject that intrigues me in many ways. It is vital to shaping us into who we are, which is quite similar to how clay material functions. Human memory is influenced by complex and multifaceted layers of personal experience, history, heritage, globalization, and the information age. The digital era epitomizes a super memory sheltered within a virtual realm. In a society that is obsessed to record the reality on a daily basis, is it possible to question a real memory? In a way, I am drawn to transform impermanence of mundane, everyday scenes into permanent material objects by using photolithography image transfer to clay tiles.
